For the past 9 years she has worked at a credit union where she teaches employees and credit union members about financial topics. Bethany has obtained two Master’s Degrees in Education, both focused on teaching adults.

Free Financial Education Workshops

cccssf-logoThe Consumer Credit Counseling Services of San Francisco host a number of free financial education workshops every month that cover a multitude of financial-related topics.  From better money management to information for first time home buyers, there is a lot of useful and relevant information presented in these workshops and worth checking out.  Workshops are free, but you do have to RSVP to save a spot in the workshop.  For more information, check out the CCCS website.

Fun Down at Jack London Square all Summer Long

Dancing Under the Stars

Every Friday evening, from 8:30-10 PM, at the foot of Broadway.  Enjoy a free dance lesson provided by the Linden Street Dance Studio!  Each week will feature a different dance.

Lunchtime Live!

Every Tuesday and Friday, starting in July, from noon-2PM.  Grab lunch at Jack London Square and enjoy free live music by a different group each time.

Waterfront Flicks

Every other Thursday evening, starting July 8th.  Free movie starting at sundown, with Oakland Trivia games hosted by the Oakbook starting at 7:30 PM.

An Oakland Community Thanksgiving with Spice Monkey!

spicemonkey-thanksgivingOakland restaurant Spice Monkey is hosting a food drive and community dinner this Thanksgiving!  This delicious meal, incluidng a main course and special treat, is available for all and is free–all you have to do is reserve yourself a place at the table!  Drop by Spice Monkey and bring 5 cans of food to donate to the Alameda County Community Food Bank to make your reservation.  For details, check out Spice Monkey’s website.

Free concert for the last days of fall!
